Set Up Your Vehicle

After creating your account, add your vehicle and lease details. Odo needs just a few pieces of information to start tracking your mileage intelligently.

What you'll enter:

  • Vehicle info — Select your model year, brand, model, and trim
  • Nickname — Give it a name you'll recognize (e.g., "Erin's R1T")
  • Lease start date — When your lease began
  • Lease term — Total number of months
  • Annual mileage allowance — Your yearly cap (e.g., 10,000 or 15,000 miles)
  • Starting odometer — The reading when your lease started

Already mid-lease? No problem. Enter your current odometer reading and Odo will back-calculate your usage to get you up to speed.

Odo Does the Math

Behind every weekly check-in, Odo is managing the Three Smart Pools that work together to give you maximum flexibility within your lease terms.

Everyday Miles

Your weekly mileage budget for commutes, errands, and daily life. Odo calculates this from your annual allowance and dynamically adjusts it based on how you actually drive.

How it's calculated

Annual mileage ÷ 52 weeks = your base weekly budget. Odo adjusts this each week based on whether you're ahead or behind pace.

Adventure Miles

Your reward for driving efficiently. Every mile you save during the week gets banked as Adventure Miles — a growing pool for spontaneous road trips and weekend getaways.

How it works

Drive 200 miles in a 231-mile week? Those 31 extra miles automatically move to your Adventure Miles pool. They accumulate over time.

Reserve Miles

Plan big trips months in advance. Reserve Miles are set aside for specific journeys and automatically reduce your weekly Everyday Miles budget so everything balances out.

How it works

Planning a 600-mile ski trip in March? Odo spreads that cost across the remaining weeks, slightly reducing your weekly budget so the big trip is covered.

How the Pools Work Together

During a normal week, miles are deducted from Everyday Miles first, then Adventure Miles. During a travel week, Reserve Miles are used first.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I forget to reply one week?

No worries! When you enter your odometer reading after a missed week, Odo calculates the difference from your last reading and averages it across the missed weeks. Your mileage pools are automatically recalculated so you're always up to date.

What if I drive way more than expected one week?

Odo's got you covered. Extra miles are pulled from your Adventure Miles pool first. If you go beyond that, Odo adjusts your Everyday Miles budget for the coming weeks to get you back on pace. You'll always see exactly where you stand.

Can I start mid-lease?

Absolutely. Enter your lease start date, current odometer reading, and starting odometer. Odo calculates how many miles you've used so far, distributes them across the elapsed weeks, and sets your Everyday and Adventure Miles pools accordingly. You'll be fully up to speed in minutes.

Can I add a vehicle mid-lease?

Yes! Add a new vehicle anytime. Odo will estimate expected mileage for the time between your lease start date and today, then distribute the missed mileage across those weeks to create an accurate baseline. Each vehicle gets its own independent tracking.

Do I have to use SMS, or can I use the website?

Both! SMS is the easiest way — Odo texts you and you reply. But you can always log readings manually from your dashboard, plan trips, and view detailed analytics on the web. The SMS feature is included with the Pro plan.

How much does Odomobo cost?

There's a free tier for basic tracking of one vehicle. The Pro plan is $5/month (with a 6-week free trial) and includes SMS check-ins, Adventure Miles, planned trips, and multi-vehicle support at $3/month per additional vehicle. See full pricing details.

What types of vehicles does Odomobo support?

All of them! Odomobo works with any leased vehicle — EVs, hybrids, gas-powered cars, trucks, SUVs, luxury and exotic cars, and even adventure vans. If it has an odometer and a lease, Odo can track it.

Ready to Stop Worrying About Miles?

Set up takes 2 minutes. Your weekly check-in takes 60 seconds. Odo handles everything else.
